| Overview |

Respondus
is a Windows application that can be used to create and manage test
questions and exams.These exams can then be printed or uploaded directly
to a WebCT course site for use there. This user-friendly tool offers
nine different questions types, the ability to easily add tables,
bulleted lists, equations, graphics, and both audio and video files.
Its word processor like environemnt also allows for text formatting
and spell checking. Respondus can also be used to retrieve test questions
and exams from WebCT and to generate reports. |

| Obtaining
a copy of Respondus |
| |
The
University of Connecticut has recently purchased a site license to
Respondus 3.0. Respondus is available to the faculty and staff (not
students) of the University of Connecticut (regional campuses included)
and can be installed onto University owned personal computers. The
license also permits faculty and staff to install one copy of Respondus
on a home computer. |

In
order to get the software on a CD, send your request to software@uconn.edu
or call 486-1781. You will be notified to go to the University ITS
Business Office located in the Math Science Building (MSB), ground
floor, room 049 to pick up the CD. |
