Blackboard Learning System™ - Vista Enterprise License" |

| The
e-learing system currently in use at UConn is "The Blackboard
Learning System™ - Vista Enterprise License", more commonly
referred to as WebCT Vista or Vista. Prior to Fall 2005, the system
in use was WebCT Campus Edition 3.8. During the year-long transition
from WebCT Campus Edition 3.8 to WebCT Vista both systems were in
use. In Februrary 2006, when WebCT, Inc. was acquired by Blackboard,
Inc. the name changed again. In order to simplify the way in which
we refer to this new product, both now and in the future, UConn has
chosen to use the name HuskyCT for its online course management system.

| HuskyCT
(WebCT Vista) is considered an “academic enterprise system"
as it integrates with administrative systems such as PeopleSoft and
also provides the ability to make resource materials available across
schools and by the university as a whole. |

| Instructors
seeking assistance with HuskyCT should call the IRC at (860) 486-5052.
Frequently we can resolve basic problems over the phone, but we also
encourage faculty to schedule appointments for more extensive assistance.
This would include help with building a HuskyCT course site for the
first time or learning how to use some of the more complex features
such as the quiz and survey tool. |
