Generally pop-up blockers are a good thing, but they cause problems with WebCT - especially Discussion and Quizzes. So, in order to have WebCT function appropriately popup blockers need to be turned off or set webct to allow WebCT popups.

For Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (top image)
	Turning off pop-up blockers
	Click on Tools >> Popup Blocker >> Turn Off Pop-up Blocker
	Allowing popups on WebCT only
	Click on Tools >> Pop-up Blocker >> Pop-up Blocker Settings Enter http://webct.uconn.edu in the field labeled “address of web-site to allow”. Click the “Add” button then “Close” button. Do the same for http://vista.uconn.edu
For Netscape Navigator 7.2 (second image)
	Turning off pop-up blockers
	Click on popup button in the tool bar until it says “Pop- Up Block Off”
	Allowing popups on WebCT only
	Click on Tools >> Popup Manager >> Manage Pop ups Enter webct.uconn.edu in the field labeled, “allow pop ups-from the following site”. Click the “Add” button then the “Ok” button. Do the same for vista.uconn.edu
For Mozilla Firefox (third image)
	Turn off popup blocker
	Click on Tools >> Options >> Web features Be sure the box for Block popup windows in unchecked.
	Allow popups for WebCT only
	Click on Tools >> Options >> Web features
	Click on "Allowed Sites" button Enter webct.uconn.edu in the field labeled "Address of web site" Click "Allow" button and Click OK Do the same for vista.uconn.edu
For Safari (last image)
	Turn off popup blocker
	Safari >> Block Pop-Up Windows
