How to Change Icons in HuskyCT
       
Options for Changing Icons
             
1.
 Change the default icon set used for a HuskyCT site
           
2.
 Change the icon for a particular component in the existing default set
           
3.
 Change an individual icon on a Folder (page) in a HuskyCT site
             
Detailed Instructions
 
Option 1: Change the default icon set
             
  Click on Build Tab build tab
 
  Click on Manage Course under Designer Tools designer tools   
 
  Click "Course Content Icons" icons
 
  Click "Select New Content Icon Set" button select icon set
 
  Click the radio button next to the new set default icon change
 
  Click "Select" button at bottom of screen select
 
  Click "Apply" button at bottom of the screen.

Option 2: Change the icon for a particular component in the existing default set
        
  Go to Build tab   build tab    
 
  Click on Manage Course under Designer Tools designer tools
 
  Click on "Course Content Icons" link icons
 
 

Click on gray option menu icon to right of icon

Click "Replace Image" option that appears

  The "Get Files" window will appear getFiles
   
  NOTE: The location selected by default may be your My Files. If the image is in a different location, you will need to indicate that location on this screen (Class Files or My Computer).
 
To select an image file previously uploaded to My Files or Class Files
     
 

Click on appropriate file location

 class_files MyFiles    
 
  Check the radio button next to the image file icon file
 
  Click OK button at bottom of window OK
 
  The new icon image will appear check mark
 
  Click Apply button at bottom of screen apply
 
  To use an image file currently on your computer
     
 

Click My Computer

A window for browsing for files on your computer will appear

 mycomputer
 
  Click on file name, then on Open button choose file
 
  The new icon image will appear check mark
     
  Click Apply button at the bottom of the screen
 
 

NOTE: The new icon will appear for every instance of that tool/component (e.g., every Learning Module) that already exists on the site and will be used every time items of that type are added in the future.

Option 3: Change an individual icon on an Organizer Page
             
  From Build Tab   build tab    
 
  Click on gray option menu icon   option arrow
 
 

Choose "Edit Properties" for Folders

Choose "Customize Link" for other icons

Click on Replace Icon

Choose the location of the image file (My Files, Class Files, My Computer)

  Locate and Select the file (see directions above)
 
 

The new icon will appear

Click "Save" button
